Server settings at a glance
Most programs find these settings by themselves. You only need them if a program asks.
Outlook for Windows
- Open Outlook. On first start the account setup appears by itself. Otherwise: File → Add Account.
- Enter your email address and click Connect.
- If Outlook asks, enter your password. Your user name is your email address.
- Outlook sets up the account. Finish with Done and restart Outlook once.
- Shared mailboxes you have permissions for appear in the folder list after a few minutes.
Outlook for Mac
- Outlook → Settings → Accounts → + → New Account.
- Enter your email address and choose Exchange as the account type.
- Your user name is your email address. If asked for the server: https://mail.mailoplex.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx.
- Finish with Add Account.
iPhone and iPad
- Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts → Add Account. On older iOS versions: Settings → Mail → Accounts.
- Choose Microsoft Exchange.
- Enter your email address and a description, for example “Work”, then Next and Configure Manually.
- Enter your password. If asked for the server: mail.mailoplex.com, user name: your email address.
- Choose what to sync: Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders. Finish with Save.
Android
- Open the Gmail app or the Outlook app.
- Gmail: Profile picture → Add another account → Exchange and Office 365. Outlook: Add account.
- Enter your email address and choose Manual setup if offered.
- Enter your password. Server: mail.mailoplex.com, security: SSL/TLS.
- Confirm the device management prompt. It allows the mailbox to be wiped remotely if the phone is lost.
Thunderbird, Apple Mail and others
Programs without Exchange support connect via IMAP and SMTP. Calendar and contacts are added via CalDAV and CardDAV. The settings are listed above under Server settings.
If something doesn’t work
Outlook keeps asking for the password
Check that your full email address is entered as the user name. Delete saved credentials in Windows Credential Manager and restart Outlook.
Outlook can’t find the server
Then your domain is usually missing the Autodiscover record. Your administrator will find it on the Migration page under DNS records. Until then you can use Mailoplex Web in the browser.
My phone shows no new emails
Open the account settings and check that push or “Fetch automatically” is switched on. In power-saving mode some devices fetch emails less often.
